After a not-unexpected period of radio silence during the winter, I think it's almost safe to start looking toward Spring. I took a good mental and physical break after cross season and have been back outside on the bike for quite a while now. My road season has begun with last weekend's crit in Kenosha and I've got a clear view of my priorities and training, always keeping an eye toward the fall. What started with excitement for the MadCross race is blowing up into plans for several UCI cross races this year.
Lately I've been knee-deep in projects; getting the bikes sorted out with repairs, upgrades, part swaps, repositioning, accessorizing.
Cognition is picking up steam faster than I can publicize it on the website. We've got an article in this week's Isthmus and the embroidery projects have been starting to bear fruit. Look for some of that to come out soon. I'd like to revamp our web presence slightly, and there have been some techy projects that need finishing but any "free time" usually equals saddle time.
With the warmer weather comes new challenges. I've got the subzero riding dialed but the sudden presence of liquid water surprises me in the form of a muddy spray from the tires. Fender time.
More to come.
